On September 10th, SEVEN WINTERS IN TEHRAN will celebrate its premiere at ODEON Lichtspieltheater in Cologne. And from September 14th, the story of Reyhaneh Jabbari, who became a symbol of resistance and the fight for women’s rights, can finally be seen on cinema screens nationwide.

With a score of 4.70 out of 5.0, the viewers of the World Cinema Amsterdam film festival 2023 voted massively for SEVEN WINTERS IN TEHRAN, earning it the World Cinema Amsterdam Audience Award.

First Prize at the Encounters South African International Documentary Festival! SEVEN WINTERS IN TEHRAN receives the Encounters / Al Jazeera Best Documentary Award for the best international documentary at the Johannesburg and Cape Town based festival.

At the 22nd Friedenspreis des Deutschen Films – Die Brücke, director Steffi Niederzoll receives the Special Award for SEVEN WINTERS IN TEHRAN. The award ceremony, held by the Bernhard Wicki Gedächtnis Fonds e.V., annually honours outstanding artistic works.

Grand Prize for SEVEN WINTERS IN TEHRAN: At the Italian Biografilm Festival, the film wins the Best Film Award in the international competition.

LONELY OAKS wins the Focus Future Award of the 33rd International Filmfest Emden-Norderney. The recently introduced award honours a film that addresses issues of environmental and climate protection, ecological problem scenarios and future-oriented topics.

SEVEN WINTERS IN TEHRAN wins the Amnesty International Poland Award at the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival.

The date is set! On June 17th LONELY OAKS will have its international premiere at the Sheffield DocFest in England. The film will be screened there as part of the International First Feature Competition. We are very grateful for the invitation and are looking forward to the reactions of the international audience.
